Calvary Chapel Bible College York (CCBCY) is:
- On the UK Government’s Sponsor’s Register
- Licensed to sponsor students.
- Accredited by ASIC with premier status.
Entry to the UK
Plane Ticket
You need a return plane ticket, to show UK Immigration that your stay is temporary. If you try coming to Britain on a one-way ticket, you may be refused entry and put on the first flight home.
If you have an E-Ticket, (no physical return ticket) bring your itinerary to prove your return flight.
Passports
Passports are required for all students studying in the UK. If you need to apply for a passport, please check the processing time for your country.
Entry into the United Kingdom
IMPORTANT: Students from certain countries, e.g. USA or Canada, are described by UK Immigration as Non-Visa Nationals and do not require visas in advance to study for one Semester with us in the UK. You will request a Student Visitor Stamp at the border.
All other international students wishing to study at Calvary Chapel Bible College York must obtain a Student Visitor Visa.

The Student Visitor Visa is a single entry visa, which is valid for up to six months. *Please note that you will be unable to work on this visa. If you leave the country to go sightseeing, you will need to request a fresh visitor stamp in your passport when you return to the UK and there is the possibility this may be refused.

All students: Please make sure you bring the following with you to the border:
1. Return Ticket
2. Acceptance Letter
3. You will need to show immigration one of the following:
- A receipt showing you have paid in full, OR
- Proof that you have sufficient funds for the semester (Original Bank Statement, or a Check made out to Calvary Chapel York for the tuition balance), OR
- A copy of a payment plan from us

**Returning Students
We recommend that all returning students apply for a Student Visitor Visa before leaving their country of residence.
You will need to complete a Student Visitor Application Form. CLICK HERE
So long as you comply with the Student Visitor conditions, the immigration officer should admit you as a Student visitor. Note that immigration officers do have discretion about who they admit – if there is any problem ask the immigration officer to ring Calvary Chapel York on 01904 733888 and ask to speak to the Director or Registrar.
